Celtic player ratings as magical Tom Rogic inspires Rangers win to go six clear at Premiership summit

Celtic continued their fine form and recent Old Firm bragging rights with an important win over Rangers.

They trailed to an Aaron Ramsey goal in the opening minutes at Ibrox but bounced back through goals from the influential Tom Rogic and Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Ange Postecoglou put faith in the long-serving Australian and he didn't let him down.

Here's how the Celtic players rated on the day as they go six points clear at the Premiership summit.

JOE HART : Got a hand to Ramsey’s strike but was unable to push it away due to the power. Saved from Lundstram and brilliant late stop from Sakala as he plunged low to his left with a strong hand. 8

JOSIP JURANOVIC : The Croatian international made a rocky start and was caught by a ball inside him for Kent to escape and create the game’s opening goal for Ramsey. Improved and a good through ball created a Maeda chance. 7

CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS : Centre-back used the ball well from the backline and defended his box with authority and strength. Showed an attacker’s instincts to drill home his team’s winner. Survived a shout against him for handball. Booked, but superb. 9

CARL STARFELT : Swedish defender did well against set-piece deliveries into his area and also pressured Balogun into the poor headed clearance which opened the door for Carter-Vickers to score. A strong performance. 8

GREG TAYLOR : Left-back covered to thwart a potential early opportunity for Aribo and a surging run engineered an opening for Rogic. Started second-half with another perfectly-timed challenge on Kent. Off with 20 minutes to go. 7

CALLUM McGREGOR : Skipper led the team in his 26th appearance against Rangers and his surging run into the opposition box caused the situation which led to Rogic goal. Patrolled the engine room taking the ball and trying to cover space. 8

REO HATATE : Shot saved by McGregor allowed Rogic to score. Midfielder tried to be calm in possession, but was on the fringes for much of it and started to get leggy in the early part of the second half. 6

TOM ROGIC : Aussie was declared fit after an ankle issue and was superb for his hour. Paid boss back with a calm equaliser and caused problems finding pockets of space. Missed a second chance and third blocked. Excellent. 8

JOTA : Fired a shot wildly over the crossbar before his high and deep free-kick brought about the Carter-Vickers goal. Worked the flanks and did a good job for the team without causing mayhem. 7

DAIZEN MAEDA : Astounding workrate. Darted into channels and took a job to track back and help Juranovic deal with Bassey and Kent. Denied in one-on-one against McGregor and penalty shout when clipped by the keeper. 8

GIORGOS GIAKOUMAKIS : Headed wide from a Jota cross and won the free-kick which led to his team’s second goal from Carter-Vickers. Yellow card for decking Jack and in his box to make vital late clearance. 7

ANTHONY RALSTON (for Taylor, 71) :Into the action with Taylor off. Booked for scything Kent. Strong late clearances. 4

LIEL ABADA (for Jota, 76) : Tried to hit on counter and denied a goal from a sensational McGregor save. 3
