Celtic have 'opened talks' over a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Cole Campbell, but a deal won’t come cheap.
Campbell spent the second half of last campaign on loan at Hoffenheim but struggled to make an impact, making just five appearances.
According to Sky Germany, the Premiership champions are exploring a move for the 20-year-old USA youth international to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new season. He has also featured only five times for Dortmund’s first team since joining in 2024.
Despite that, the right-sided winger remains a player of interest. Hoffenheim were reported to hold a £6.8million option to buy, including add-ons and a potential buy-back clause for Dortmund, underlining the Bundesliga side’s valuation.

The German giants are believed to be open to selling, with reports suggesting Campbell has no long-term future under boss Niko Kovac. However, with two years left on his current deal, Dortmund are in a strong position to demand a sizeable fee.
Internationally, Campbell has represented the United States from under-19 through to under-23 level, earning 19 caps, while also featuring for Iceland at youth level.
He has scored twice in senior football to date, with both goals coming for Dortmund’s B team.
