Celtic No1 Joe Hart in 'plenty to play for' message as he lauds 'bouncing' away end at Kilmarnock

Joe Hart has hailed Celtic's 'amazing' first half display against Kilmarnock as he heaped praise on the travelling support.

Ange Postecoglou's men blew Derek McInnes' side away in the opening 30 minutes with four goals and a missed penalty at Rugby Park. Kyogo Furuhashi - guilty of missing from 12-yards - grabbed the opener after capitalising on a slack pass before doing all the hard work on his own and slotting home. Daizen Maeda headed home moments later before Matt O'Riley grabbed a double of his own to put the game out of sight.

Liam Donnelly bundled home a consolation strike before half-time for the hosts but it was another relentless attacking display from the league leaders who remain 12 points clear of Rangers at the Premiership summit as they close in on back to back titles.

Michael Beale's men recovered from their Old Firm defeat at Parkhead to defeat St Mirren 5-2 at Ibrox but Celtic - as they have done every step of the way this season - responded in style to maintain that healthy cushion at the top.

During the big win, the away side broke through the 100-goal barrier for the league season while they also picked up a 30th win of the campaign.

No1 Hart praised his team-mates for their ruthless display while he also reserved a special mention for the 'bouncing' away end in Ayrshire.

He wrote on Instagram: "Amazing first half performance. Plenty to play for #COYBIG away end was bouncing."

Celtic host Motherwell in Glasgow's east end this coming weekend in the final fixture ahead of the Premiership league split before they face Rangers at Hampden in the Scottish Cup semi-final.

The Hoops could yet complete a domestic Treble this campaign and victory over their arch rivals would see them as heavy favourites to do just that with one of Falkirk or Inverness awaiting in the final for the winner of the derby.
