Celtic Manor Resort named among the world's top wedding venues

The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport has been ranked fifth in the world as a wedding venue. The Welsh resort is placed behind venues in Canada, Hawaii, London and Barcelona and is also second best in the UK.

Research conducted by money.co.uk looked at TripAdvisor reviews and Instagram hashtags to find the UK’s and the world’s best wedding destinations. Celtic Manor has more than 55,000 hashtags on Instagram and over 410 mentions on TripAdvisor, beating the likes of The Savoy in London and San Francisco City Hall.

In the UK list, Celtic Manor came second behind Claridges in London and was also joined by three other Welsh wedding venues - Fairyhill (7th), The Oxwich Bay Hotel (12th) and Oldwalls (19th).
