WE'RE half-way through the week, which means Celtic will be back in action sooner rather than later.
Hearts are the next challenge for the Premiership league leaders, as Ange Postecoglou's side look to get another step closer towards the title.
Here are the top stories from Wednesday, May 4...
Champions League jackpot detailed
UEFA confirmed earlier this week that Russian clubs won't play in next season's European club competitions, meaning the Scottish Premiership winners will advance straight to the Champions League group stage.
Celtic are in prime position to seal the top-flight title and the Champions League group stage spot along with the major financial boost that comes with continental qualification.
Ange Postecoglou's side sit six-points clear of Rangers with three matches left in the league season - and they also boast a significant goal difference advantage over their city rivals.
Postecoglou must get greater backing for step up in quality
JOHN HARTSON says that Ange Postecoglou must be backed in the transfer market this summer if Celtic are to compete in the Champions League next season, saying he has earned the trust of the board with his track record of success with signings.
Mark Lawwell, son of former Celtic chief executive Peter, was appointed as the club’s head of scouting and recruitment at the weekend, but Hartson believes that Postecoglou has to maintain the final say on transfers.
And with the riches on offer with guaranteed group stage football, Hartson says that a significant portion of that must be entrusted to Postecoglou this summer in order to take Celtic to the next level.
Christie lands Hoops tasty windfall
CELTIC are reported to have landed a tasty windfall off the back of Bournemouth's promotion to the Premier League.
It's said that Celtic have earned more than £2million from the Cherries' glory, as part of their transfer deal with Ryan Christie.
Bournemouth signed Christie last August as he entered the last six months of his deal at Parkhead.
