Celtic favourite rips into Rangers after Scottish Cup final

A former Celtic fans' favourite couldn't resist ripping into Rangers following yesterday's Scottish Cup final 2024.

Moussa Dembele insists he'd rather not say what he thought about the performance of Philippe Clement's side.

The French striker took to social media to aim the cheeky dig at Celtic's bitter Glasgow rivals.

Dembele scored seven goals against the Ibrox club during his two-year stint at the Hoops. He departed in 2018 for a whopping £20m as he joined Lyon.

Adam Idah is now up to two derby goals after sealing the victory for Brendan Rodgers and his players in the 90th minute of the game at Hampden.

And Dembele took to social media site X to congratulate his old team - while also ripping into Rangers.

He wrote: "Well done Bhoys! A double well deserved. Always on the winning side, and Rangers… I rather not say anything about them."

Dembele, 27,  now plays for Steven Gerrard at Al-Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League.

Meanwhile, Celtic striker Adam Idah last night described his winning goal in the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup final as the best of his life – then admitted that he is unsure if he will return to Parkhead next season.

But the Republic of Ireland internationalist, who netted in the final minute of a tense encounter with Rangers at Hampden to secure a league and cup double, credited his loan spell in Scotland with resurrecting his career and admitted he had been bowled over by the “love” he has received during his time in Glasgow.

Idah, who moved to this country from Norwich City during the January transfer window, is under contract with English Championship outfit until 2028 and it remains unclear if the Scottish champions are prepared to pay the £5m fee which it will take to secure his services permanently.
