Some Celtic fans have declared that Liam Scales is the club's best left back after his first-half stunner against Raith Rovers this afternoon in the Scottish Cup.
The 23-year-old scored his second goal for the club as he continues to impress when handed game time by boss Ange Postocoglou, but is currently competing with Greg Taylor for the starting spot.
On the 23rd minute, with Raith Rovers so far frustrating the Hoops in their own back yard, Tom Rogic finds the former Shamrock Rovers man on the edge of the box.
And the recent Ireland call-up's touch lets it roll right onto his left foot as he lets fly just outside the D - sending it flying towards the top corner.
And with the aid of the post rattles the net to break the deadlock and send Celtic on their way as three second half goals sealed a 4-0 victory in the 5th round clash.
And fans on Twitter were quick to label Scales as the club's best option at left-back after the brilliant goal.
One said: "The best left back we have..."
Another added: "My left back!"
"Surprise surprise, Liam Scales is our best LB/LWB," one fan declared.
