The family of a Celtic fan who vanished in the Canary Islands have discovered CCTV footage showing him lying 'unconscious' outside a bar doorway.
Gary Watson Sheearer, 53, from Renfrew has not been seen since he left the Bar 67 pub in the Puerto Del Carmen resort in Lanzarote on March 16.
Now his desperate family have told how fresh footage of the missing dad has increased fears over what has happened to him.
An update on the Find Gary Shearer online appeal page on Wednesday read: "The last confirmed sighting we have of Gary now is between around 11:30pm-12:30am outside of Bar67 where he was laying unconscious. There has been nothing since."
Previous known CCTV sightings of Gary had shown him in a jovial mood and mixing with a group of six people inside the pub the night he disappeared.
Gary, who has type-2 diabetes and is believed to be prone to seizures, had travelled to Lanzarote alone to celebrate St Patrick's Day but was reported missing when he failed to show up for his flight home.
He was last seen wearing a green and white Celtic football top, white shorts and white trainers. He is described as being just over 5ft 2 with grey/black hair and a slight limp.
All hospitals on the islands have been checked and Gary has not been admitted to any of them.
His loved ones continued: "We still have absolutely no idea where Gary could be. Despite all possible sightings people have given us, none of these have been Gary or have led to any information regarding Gary.
"We, as a family, continue to ask for your support in trying to find him and ask that you please keep an eye out and continue to give us any information you may feel could be relevant in any way."
Gary's parents Ann, 71, and Danny, 69, along with his sister Michelle, flew out to Lanzarote in March to help with the search for him.
His sister Nikki, 51, told the Daily Record at the time her elderly parents haven't received support from Spanish police since they arrived.
She said: "There have been no further sightings of him anywhere. We're going out of our minds with worry. We're trying to stay positive, but the more days pass, the harder it is. We just want him home.
"My parents have seen police officers searching the sea and flying over it in the helicopter but they have been left to their own devices to look for him.
"We're really disappointed that the police don't seem to be doing more. They haven't even organised a family liaison officer to support my parents and to be honest they need support.
"They are both really struggling. Gary was so close to them. They're devastated."
A police spokesperson on the neighbouring island of Gran Canaria said: “We are seeking the public’s help in discovering the whereabouts of 53-year-old Gary James Watson.
"We urge anyone with any piece of information they think could be of interest to us and may help us find Gary to contact us.”
