Celtic extend Adidas deal with 'confirmation due soon'

Celtic have reportedly extended their contract with kit manufacturer Adidas.

Footy Headlines claim that an agreement has been struck to prolong their deal.

It's said that an official announcement is due to be made soon.

Celtic's current kit deal is due to expire in the summer of 2025 - the end of this season.

The report has no further information on how many years the contract extension lasts, however, does speculate that it could be up to five years.

The previous kit deal between Adidas and the Scottish Premiership champions started in the 20/21 season.

The partnership has been a success to date, with Celtic previously breaking into the top 20 best-selling clubs' kits of the year in 2023.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund have handed a vote of confidence to manager Nuri Sahin... just a month after they put seven goals past Celtic.

The Champions League runners-up ran amok against the Hoops at the start of October, but have won just one game since then, losing three matches in the Bundesliga and were dumped out of the German Cup this week by Wolfsburg. And they've now given Sahin the dreaded vote of confidence.

Dortmund managing director Lars Ricken stressed: "We are only discussing how we can get our quality onto the pitch and win games. Nothing else.

"There are no issues between Sahin and the team.

"I see Nuri thoughtful after games, of course, he remains focused and communicative.

"His relationship with the team is intact, he prepares the games very well before and after with his team."
