Celtic defender Yuki Kobayashi switches football agency

Celtic defender Yuki Kobayashi has opted to change agency.

Football Scotland states that the Japanese centre-back has switched to CAA Base.

The 23-year-old faces an uncertain future at the club following Ange Postecoglou's exit from the Scottish champions.

The former manager left at the start of the summer following the end of last season, joining Tottenham.

He was signed in the January transfer window alongside fellow countryman Tomoki Iwata, expanding the club's Japanese contingent.

He was given a run in the side following the injury to Cameron Carter-Vickers in April this year.

But under Brendan Rodgers so far, the defender has been mainly out of the picture.

The report states that his position at the club is currently being considered.

And it's said that there could be movement on his situation now that the ex-Vissel Kobe ace moved on from USN Sports to CAA Base.

His new agency boasts the likes of James Maddison, Son, Kingsley Coman and Eberechi Eze on their books.

His teammate Rocco Vata also recently made the switch to Base.

Meanwhile, Celtic's transfer interest in Gustaf Lagerbielke seems to have been confirmed.

Elfsborg chief Stefan Andreasson has revealed that the Hoops have registered an interest in the young defender.

However, negotiations have yet to kick off over a potential deal.

The Hoops are keen on the 23-year-old as a replacement for Carl Starfelt, who is on his way out of Parkhead. The Swede is due to seal a move to Celta Vigo.

Elfsborg will reportedly receive a record fee for Lagerbielke should a deal go through.
