Celtic are closing in on the signing of Camilo Duran after the Colombian striker "agreed personal terms" ahead of a proposed move from Qarabag.
The 22-year-old has emerged as a priority target for the Hoops in recent days following a standout season in Azerbaijan, where he impressed both domestically and in the Champions League.
Celtic saw an opening bid of around £1.7 million rejected, but reports in Azerbaijan indicate a second offer is imminent and expected to meet Qarabag’s valuation.
Duran, who joined Qarabag from Portimonense for around £200,000 last summer, enhanced his reputation with decisive performances against the likes of Eintracht Frankfurt and Benfica as the club reached the knockout stages.

While figures vary, the deal is expected to land closer to the £3 million mark demanded by the Azerbaijani champions.
Negotiations on personal terms are understood to be complete after Duran’s representatives travelled to Glasgow last week, leaving only an agreement between the clubs to be finalised.
If completed, the transfer could represent a record sale for Qarabag, surpassing the £2.5 million fee received for Leandro Andrade earlier this summer.
