Singer Celine Dion has announced that her European tour dates, including her shows at Dublin's 3Arena, have been postponed due to her battle with a rare neurological disease.
In an emotional video posted to the singer's Instagram account, she explained to fans that she had recently been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome which causes her to experience daily spasms. As a result, she has had to postpone the European leg of her Courage world tour.
The 54-year-old performer was due to play the 3Arena on March 30 and 31, 2023. The rescheduled Dublin gigs will now take place on April 5 and 6, 2024.

Celine's condition is incurable but there are treatments to slow down its progression. Stiff Person Syndrome ultimately leaves sufferers unable to walk or talk.
In the teary social media video addressing fans, Celine said: "I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time and its been really difficult for me to face my challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through. While we’re still learning about this rare condition, we now know this is what’s been causing all the spasms I’ve been having.
"Unfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal chords to sing the way I'm used to."
"For me to reach you again, I have no choice but to concentrate on my health at this moment and I have hope that I'm on the road to recovery," she added.
Fans flooded Celine's emotional Instagram post with comments showering her with support. One person wrote: "Your contributions to the music industry are priceless, you inspire so many across the globe. I pray for healing and recovery."
Tickets for the original dates will remain valid for the rescheduled dates in 2024.
