Celebs Go Dating bosses want Vanessa Feltz for next series after heartbreaking Ben Ofoedu split

Vanessa Feltz is being lined up by TV bosses for a dating show following her heartbreaking split from ex-fiancé Ben Ofoedu.

The TV personality opened up about her recent heartbreak on ITV This Morning yesterday following a split after 16 years together. Vanessa, 60, reportedly parted ways with Ben, 50, after suspicions he had been cheating on her.

Following the heart-wrenching split, Vanessa, it's being reported, is being eyed up by E4 bosses for the new season of Celebs Go Dating. The most recent series saw the likes of Laura Anderson, Gary Lucy, and Pete Wicks attempt to find love with the agency.

Speaking to The Sun, a TV insider said: "Vanessa is top of the wish list when it comes to casting. Talks with potential cast mates are going to begin next month and producers are willing to throw big money Vanessa's way in a bid to get her to sign on the dotted line.

"She's been so brave and dignified with how she has dealt with this break-up, and the nation absolutely love her."

The source continued: "Everyone wants to see her find her happy ending, she really deserves it, so bosses are confident it would be a real ratings winner if she agreed to get on board. It remains to be seen whether Vanessa will take them up on their offer but they are going to pull out all the stops, so watch this space."

The Celebrity Big Brother star told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on Wednesday how grateful she is for the outpouring support on social media she's received.

She said: "I've had what feels like millions of messages, so so many from people going through it and I wouldn't want to minimise in anyway what it's like when you're heartbroken. It's horrible.

"People have been amazing, it helps a lot and also I can't sleep at all so reading thousands and thousands of messages from lovely people on Instagram and it's something to do in the middle of the night, you know I'm really finding my real friends and my real family.

She then added: "I have said that I feel sad and I feel hurt, which I do and I feel terribly humiliated and people have said 'you shouldn't' so that's quite helpful. To believe in your own relationship isn't stupid."
