Celebrity Traitors ratings soar as Amol Rajan is first to be eliminated

  • The second episode of Celebrity Traitors achieved a peak audience of 8.6 million viewers and an average of 8.5 million, securing a 55.5 per cent audience share on BBC One.
  • Journalist Amol Rajan became the first contestant eliminated from the competition after being murdered by secret traitors Maya Jama and Richard E Grant.
  • Comedian James Acaster was recruited to join Jama and Grant as the game's third traitor, with Rajan describing him as a fantastic player upon his departure.
  • The episode ended on a dramatic cliffhanger after actor Richard E Grant faced intense suspicion at the first roundtable for previously slipping up and claiming to be a traitor.
  • Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the star-studded 21-contestant series follows the success of last year's inaugural run and continues on Thursdays at 8pm.
