Celebrity SAS star Curtis Pritchard ‘keen to do more acting’ despite being slated on Hollyoaks

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins star Curtis Pritchard has confirmed his intention to do more acting work, despite being slammed for his appearance on Channel 4's Hollyoaks last year. He appeared opposite his brother, Strictly Come Dancing's AJ Pritchard, as on-screen siblings Jacob and Marco.

Following their appearance on the soap, Curtis and AJ's acting was heavily criticised. Their performance garnered a huge reaction on social media, regularly being memed and seen as a joke.

Despite this, Curtis, 26, has now come out and said that he is taking lessons to hone his craft. The former Love Island star said: "Going on Hollyoaks was such a great thing because I learned so much from it. It taught me a lot of acting. I fell in love with acting. It gave me a buzz for acting."

During an interview with The Daily Star, Curtis added: "I am 100% keen to do more acting. 1000%! I have been having acting lessons. From that performance on Hollyoaks to now, I’m like a different person."

Responding to the backlash he and AJ received following their appearances on Hollyoaks, he said: "Put it like this, I got more press than Hollyoaks has ever got. In more countries than even get Hollyoaks. They were very happy."

The siblings, who are both trained dancers, are currently appearing on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins. The series sees ex-army officials put a group of recruits through the Special Air Services screening process is not for the faint hearted.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins continues on Channel 4 on Sunday, September 18 at 9pm. You can get more TV news and other story updates straight to your inbox by subscribing to our newsletters here.
