Former stars of Strictly Come Dancing and Love Island are set to battle it out as the line-up for this year’s Celebrity Masterchef has been revealed.
Dani Dyer, who won the show in 2018, will be creating delicious dishes for the judges to test alongside former fishmonger Luca Bish, who appeared on the ITV2 dating show last year.
The celebrities will endure six weeks of gruelling culinary challenges under the watchful eyes of hosts John Torode and Gregg Wallace, as they decide who has what it takes to be crowned Celebrity MasterChef champion.
Lisa Snowden won the BBC One show last year, and the upcoming series will air later this summer.
Series editor Katie Attwood said this year’s batch of well-known contestants will be a “total treat” for fans.
“John and Gregg are on sizzling form and the creative dishes that the celebrities deliver need to be seen to be believed. Expect everything and more!” she teased.
Also battling it out in the kitchen this year is Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell, alongside former contestant - and The Wanted singer - Max George.
Emmerdale star Amy Walsh, who plays Tracy Shankley on the ITV soap, will also be rolling up her sleeves in the MasterChef kitchen.
The actress, who is the sister of Girls Aloud’s Kimberley Walsh, took a break from the show last year after welcoming her first child, daughter Bonnie, with ex-EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith.
Singer and Loose Women panellist Jamelia is another celebrity bidding for the coveted title, and she’ll be battling The Inbetweeners star James Buckley.
An unlikely addition to the line-up is Black Eyed Peas rapper Apl.de.ap., who will be bringing a different flavour to the kitchen, as well as RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Cheryl Hole, who is hoping to follow in the footsteps of former Celebrity MasterChef contestants Kitty Scott-Claus and Baga Chipz.
The line-up also features some blasts from the past, with glamour model and singer Sam Fox donning the white apron to get her hands dirty in the kitchen, alongside former children’s TV presenter Dave Benson Phillips.
Gogglebox star Mica Ven, who rose to fame appearing on the Channel 4 show alongside husband Marcus, is another addition to the line-up, with Radio 2’s Richie Anderson - who also appeared on Strictly Come Dancing last year, heading to the MasterChef kitchen.
Also confirmed is actor and comedian Marcus Brigstocke, veteran TV star Terry Christian, Rudimental musician Locksmith, actor Michael Praed, DJ Remi Burgz, comedian Shazia Mirza, and the Go Compare advert star Wynne Evans.
Celebrity MasterChef will air later this summer on BBC One
