For the past week or so, the Arsenal squad have been in Dubai for some warm-weather training.
Having made a dismal start to 2022 - crashing out of the FA Cup at the third round stage, losing the Carabao Cup semi-final to Liverpool and failing to win either of their Premier League games - the mini-break in the season has come at the perfect time for the Gunners.
Not back in action until a week on Thursday when they face surprise top-four rivals Wolves away from home, Arsenal will have had more than enough time to forget about a miserable January.
And manager Mikel Arteta revealed the plan for getting the squad together in a brand new environment was in hope that it can prove to be the catalyst for a strong end to the campaign.
"We had a really demanding and challenging situation in the last four weeks because some players have been sick, injured, and we're trying to bring them back, trying to expose them onto pitches when they’ve not been ready," the Spaniard said after the goalless draw with Burnley.
"We’re going to have a training camp all together in a different environment. We’re going to reunite, refocus and have a good go, because there's still a lot to play for."
Before Arsenal's return to London, Arteta and his coaching staff have been putting the squad through their paces during another training session at the Nad Al Sheba Training Centre.
As usual, there has been media footage released to get fans in the mood.
Here's what we spotted from the training pictures and video and what it tells us ahead about Arsenal's latest session in Dubai.
Lacazette and Cedric's Ronaldo impression
Arsenal's behind-the-scenes video of the latest training session begins with Alexandre Lacazette conversing with Bukayo Saka, Rob Holding, Gabriel Martinelli as well as academy prospects Charlie Patino and Joel Lopez.
He also got Jack Wilshere to share a good morning message with the camera.
Next on the Frenchman's list was Cedric Soares, but as he approached the defender he shouted 'SIUUUUUU'. Of course, this is what Cristiano Ronaldo screams after putting the ball in the back of the net.
It's not clear as to why Lacazette decided to do his best Ronaldo impression, the best explanation is that Cedric is Portuguese too?
With that said, it's clearly an inside joke between the pair as after Cedric finished speaking to the camera he also let out a 'SIUUUUUU' chant before continuing his warm-up.
If Lacazette can channel his inner-Ronaldo in terms of scoring goals between now and the end of the season, then he will play a huge role in Arsenal's quest to seal a top-four finish.
Shirt number changes
One of the main talking points from Arsenal's first session in Dubai last Thursday was Jack Wilshere and his training gear that included the no.12 on it.
This was a somewhat unusual change from his usual training gear that has featured his initials 'JW'.
But as a permanent return to Arsenal for Wilshere is unlikely amid interest from clubs in Greece and Italy as well as the Championship, there wasn't much to read into him having an actual squad number.
Although, Wilshere isn't the only one to be wearing a different squad number in Dubai as Patino, for example, has been training with the no.15 shirt, even though he already has his own squad number (no.87).
Now the no.15 has become vacant following Ainsley Maitland-Niles' move to AS Roma, but as it's only a loan deal the versatile midfielder will likely be returning at the end of the season.
And unless a decision is made to cash in on the 24-year-old in the summer, he will be wearing the no.15 once again next season.
Along with Patino, youngsters Taylor Foran, Joel Lopez, Mazeed Ogungbo and Alex Kirk have been training in the no.22, no.24, no.26 and no.31 shirts respectively.
Pepe reminder
The second half of the season could be where Nicolas Pepe's Arsenal career finally takes off.
After linking up with the squad earlier in the week following Ivory Coast's elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations, there were some fans calling for Arteta to give the winger a chance as a centre-forward.
And it would appear that Arsenal legend Ian Wright is on board with this idea.
"I’d like to see something from him. When you watch him in the Africa Cup of Nations, where I think the defender is even harder with them guys, with how athletic, how good and how intelligent they are," he said on his Wrighty’s House podcast.
"You’ve got to do a lot more, and when you watch him, he’s done it! Why aren’t we getting that out of him?
"If that means playing him in a false 9, or playing him in a position where he’s just free and gets on the ball and runs at people."
A reminder of Pepe's quality came when he found himself in acres of space and hit the crossbar with a shot from range.
Xhaka's new role
With Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gone, Arsenal are going to need someone to step up and take over the mantle as chief goalscorer.
Naturally many will be looking to Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah to share that duty until the end of the season with the likes of Martinelli, Pepe, Saka and Emile Smith Rowe also chipping in.
But judging by the latest training session, Granit Xhaka might be throwing his hat into the ring.
Now, the Switzerland international doesn't get many goals. In fact, his last for Arsenal came almost 14 months ago in a 3-1 win over Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium.
Although, he might have rediscovered the taste for getting on the scoresheet after doing so twice in training.
His first was a crisp effort from long range that ended up in the bottom corner, and the other saw him show a striker's instincts by knocking home the rebound after Pepe's effort was saved by Bernd Leno.
Perhaps a new role for Xhaka awaits when Arsenal return to Premier League action?
