Cedric Itten scored a 13 minute hat-trick as BSC Young Boys picked up a big win over Basel in the Swiss Super League.
The former Rangers striker has had a rebirth since leaving Ibrox with his second-half treble keeping the runaway leaders a whopping 18 points clear at the league summit. It's just one league defeat in 25 outings and it was a special occasion at the sold-out Wankdorf as the ex-Light Blues man marked the "125 Years YB" anniversary game in stunning style.
His first goal was a classic striker finish as the hitman followed in on a shot from his team-mate. Basel's goalkeeper didn't deal with the effort properly and spilled the ball with the 26-year-old on hand to fire home the rebound. His next effort came from the penalty spot as he fired the ball into the roof of the net in emphatic fashion before he rounded off his brilliant display with a bullet header.

The hitman joined the Ibrox side back in 2020 from St Gallen under Steven Gerrard and helped the club land the Premiership crown from Celtic's grasp that season. He then made the switch to Germany on loan to Greuther Furth with game-time hard to come by in Glasgow for the 2021-22 campaign but was called back in the January.
Rangers then announced his transfer back to his native Switzerland with BSC Young Boys for an undisclosed fee in June 2022.
During his time at Ibrox the Swiss international scored eight goals in 49 appearances.
This season he has has been on fire as he edges towards the 20 goal-mark for his club side while he's also provided a large number of assists.
