CCTV shows rapist run way moments after vile attack on teen
CCTV footage shows the moment a vile rapist ran away immediately after attacking a lone 18-year-old woman behind Liverpool Lime Street Station.
William Ormandy approached and started talking to his victim just before 2am on Sunday, February 6 as she walked towards Liverpool Lime Street Station taxi rank. Ormandy said, "you're gorgeous" and asked where she was going as he stalked his vulnerable victim.
A short while later he said, “give me a kiss” to which she told him no, he then grabbed her and tried to kiss her. Cheryl Mottram, prosecuting, at Liverpool Crown Court, said: "She told him she just wanted to get home, but he continued to follow her asking to go back to her house with her. She told him that she lived at home with her mum and told him she was only 18."

The court heard how at just after 2am he pulled her into a service alleyway near the station and continued trying to kiss her as she pleaded for him to let her go. She decided to walk up to London Road to get to the next taxi rank, Ormandy then raped her.
When she started to walk off he told her "come here" but she left and he then ran in the opposite direction. CCTV footage showed him running away down nearby Pudsey Street immediately after his vile attack.

Birthday party murder: 'I can still hear the screams from my kids'
The heartbroken partner of a dad who was stabbed to death at a family birthday party said she has nothing but “anger and hatred" for her killer nephew.
Joshua Morgan 21, stabbed his uncle, Paul Morgan, twice during a party where he was celebrating his 21st birthday. Morgan rejected a hug from his uncle before following him across Prince William Street, in Dingle, and stabbing him in the back in September 2020.
Jailing Morgan for life, with a minimum term of 17 years, Judge David Aubrey, QC, said: “You had a love-hate relationship with your uncle. Tragically you had lost your father when young and thus your uncle became somewhat of a father figure to you.

"However you appeared to show some resentment and jealousy towards your cousins - they had a father, you did not. There was something festering inside you."
Paul Morgan's partner, Lisa Robinson, had her powerful and moving victim impact statement read to the court by the family’s police liaison officer. The statement concluded that despite their devastation "we will get through it and we will never be defeated".
She continued: “However, you Joshua, are evil, there’s no good future for you and I hope you rot in hell.”

Mum with tragic past loses three members of family to 'silent killer'
A mum who's experienced unimaginable personal loss said if speaking up can help one person then she's happy to do so.
Sabrina Dunbavin has had post-traumatic stress disorder for most of her adult life after her partner was murdered when she lived in Belfast. Sabrina has also experienced devastating family loss as her brother, sister and cousin all sadly took their own lives.
But Sabrina, who now lives in Crosby, told the ECHO she hopes speaking about her experiences will encourage others to come forward and know they're not alone. Sabrina said there often isn't the necessary support for people suffering with their mental health and wants people to speak out.

Sabrina said even now time has passed and she has the support of her family she still feels "lonely in her own grief". But she added: "It's good to reach out to people and let them know they're not alone and there are others also living with grief."
The 43-year-old told the ECHO she had no idea her family members had been struggling with their own mental health before they took their own lives, calling it "the silent killer".
