Police have released CCTV footage of a missing Scots mum who was last seen walking along a busy road in Glasgow a week ago. Shona McKenna was last spotted on Tollcross Road, near Carmyle Avenue, in the Shettleston area of the city on Wednesday, January 4.
The 46-year-old’s disappearance was reported to Police Scotland on January 9 by her worried family, who also issued pleas on social media for help. Shona is described as being white, around 5ft 7in tall, of a slim build with long fair hair.
When last seen, she was wearing a knee-length cream puffy gilet and dark-coloured jeans. Speaking on the one week anniversary of Shona's disappearance, Inspector Bryceland has called on members of the public for help.
They said: “Shona’s family and friends are becoming increasingly concerned for her safety and well-being as she has not been in touch with them which is very unlike her.
“We’re keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the Tollcross Road area, between 12.30pm and 1pm on Wednesday, 4 January, especially if they have any doorbell or dashcam footage just in case Shona’s image has been captured.”
Comedian Susie McCabe also urged anyone with information to get in touch. In a post on Twitter, she said: "Folks, this is one of my partners oldest friends, pals for over 30 years, she has been missing for 5days we are really worried for her and her welfare.
"Can you please Retweet and help us find her. Her name is Shauna sometimes Shona #findshauna #findshona Thank you x"
Anyone who has seen Shona since Wednesday, 4 January or knows of her present whereabouts is asked to contact police immediately quoting incident number 2379 of 9 January 2023.
