CCTV images have been released of a man police want to speak to in connection with an assault near the Christmas Market in Glasgow. The incident happened at around 7.45 pm on Saturday, 3 December, on Mitchell Street.
Officers are keen to trace the man who they believe can assist with their enquiries. They are asking anyone who recognises him to come forward and speak to police.
It is believed that the attack happened close to the Christmas Markets at St Enoch’s Square. In the image, the bearded suspect can be seen wearing a black puffer-type jacket.
Detective Constable Duncan Bruce, of the Greater Glasgow Public Protection Unit, said: “We are appealing for the man in this image, or anyone who knows the identity of the man to come forward, as we believe he can assist our investigation into the incident.
"Anyone with information or who recognises the man should call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 4175 of 3 December, 2022. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.”
