CCTV images released of three men following Glasgow city centre serious assault

CCTV images of three men have been released following a serious assault in Glasgow's city centre.

Officers have released the images of three men, believing they may be able to assist with their enquiries into the incident.

A 42-year-old man was attacked at Buchanan Street Bus Station around 12.20am on Thursday, May 19 and rushed to hospital shortly afterward for treatments to his injuries.

The assault occurred shortly after he Rangers v Eintracht Frankfurt Europa League Final in Seville, Spain.

An appeal has now been launched for anyone who recognises the men in the images to contact Police Scotland.

A statement from the force reads: "Police Scotland is releasing images of three men officers believe may be able to assist with enquiries into a serious assault in Glasgow.

"The incident happened at Buchanan Street Bus Station around 12.20am on Thursday, 19 May, 2022, which resulted in a 42-year-old man sustaining injuries which required hospital treatment.

"The assault took place shortly after the Europa League Final between Rangers and Eintracht Frankfurt.

"Anyone who recognises these three men, or has any information about the incident, is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 0132 of 19 May.

"Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be called on 0800 555 111 where information can be passed anonymously."
