Police have released CCTV images after a man was robbed at knifepoint in Edinburgh.
Officers launched a probe after the terrifying incident happened at Whitehouse Loan near the junction of Bruntsfield Crescent in the capital. A 22-year-old man was threatened with a knife and had personal belongings stolen from him.
The attack took place in the early hours of Monday, June 28, last year - but officers are now appealing for information. The man shown in the images is described as Asian, in his late teens to early 20s, around 5ft 9 to 5ft 10 inches in height, slim build with short dark hair.
He is wearing a dark hooded jacket, light grey t-shirt, blue jeans and dark trainers with white soles.
Detective Constable Euan Chancellor of the Violence Reduction Unit, Gayfield CID, said: "This incident was highly distressing for the victim and we are eager to trace the man pictured.
"Knife-crime such as this is of the utmost concern to police in Edinburgh so I would urge anyone who may recognise him to get in touch with us as soon as possible."
