Police released photos of two men they want to speak to after a man had a glass smashed in his face.
A 30-year-old man suffered a fractured nose and cuts to his face after being reportedly glassed as he walked through a town square at night.
It has been reported that the man was attacked outside NatWest bank, in Market Place, Newark, at around 10.50pm on December 28 last year.
CCTV images showed two men with pint glasses in their hands leaving The White Hart pub, in Market Place.
They left the same time as the 30-year-old man, minutes before the incident took place, Nottinghamshire Police reports.
Officers would like to speak to both men, as they may have information that could assist with the investigation.
PC Lydia Garnham-Davies, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “This was a completely unacceptable attack that left a man with a fractured nose and could have quite easily left him having to live with life-changing injuries as well.
“We have been trawling through all of the CCTV footage available from the night as part of our investigations, to help establish what happened that night.
“After inspecting the footage in detail, we have identified two people who were in the area at the time this incident happened and may be able to assist us with our enquiries.
“If you recognise the two men from the CCTV image or have any more information that could help us with our enquiries, please contact us on 101 quoting incident 725 on 28 December 2021.”
