A CCTV image has been released by police of a man after a serious assault in Edinburgh which left a man in hospital.
Officers want to speak to the man, as they believe he may have information that can assist with their investigation into the assault.
The incident took place on Windsor Street around 7.20pm on Sunday July 17, 2021. Police say a 24-year-old man was verbally abused and assaulted by two males, and sustained facial injuries which required hospital treatment.
The person in the CCTV image is described as a white male, of slim build, between 5ft 5 and 5ft 9 inches in height, aged between 15 and 18, with light brown/blonde hair.
He was wearing a black t-shirt with a white logo on the front, black Nike shorts, grey trainers and was carrying a black rucksack on his back.
Officers have asked the individual to get in touch with him, or if anyone recognises him, to get in touch, as it could assist their investigation.
