Police have released CCTV footage of a man who may have information about an unsolved attack in Edinburgh.
The incident - which left the victim seriously injured - took place on South St Andrews Street in the city centre at 12.50am on Friday, August 27, 2021.
The man pictured is described as white, aged between 18 and 25, of slim build and with medium length light brown hair.
During the time of the attack, he was wearing a distinctive black tracksuit top with three white vertical stripes down the centre and a large gold emblem on the back with jeans and grey trainers.
Officers say he was in the area at the time of the incident and believe that he could assist them with their ongoing investigation.
Detective Sergeant James Berry said: "I would urge the male, or anyone who has information relating to the male, depicted in the images to make contact with the police.
"Members of the public can contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference 0187 of 27 August, 2021. Alternatively, calls can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
