Police have issued a CCTV appeal after a number of bank cards were stolen from a vehicle in Gateshead before being used to purchase a number of items.
Officers received a report that a bag containing bank cards and a coat were stolen from a locked vehicle on Dunsmuir Grove, in Bensham, at around 6am on September 17 last year.
The stolen cards were then used to buy a number of items from a garage nearby as well as paying for a taxi journey. Northumbria Police has now released an image of a woman officers wish to speak to in connection with the theft.
She was in the area at the time the stolen bank cards were used to purchase items and it is believed she may be able to assist them with their inquiries.
If you are the woman, or know who she is, contact the ‘Tell Us Something’ page of the Northumbria Police website or call 101, quoting 109845K/22.
