CCTV appeal after racially aggravated assault at Bristol Rovers match

Police have released a CCTV image after a racially aggravated assault occurred at a football stadium near Bristol.

The incident took place during Bristol Rovers' match against Rochdale at the Memorial Stadium at around 4.30pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021 when a racially aggravated assault was made against a member of staff.

Police have confirmed the victim was not physically injured in the assault.

Avon and Somerset Police would like to speak to the man captured in CCTV footage as part of their investigation.

In a statement, they said: "The incident took place during a football match at around 4.30pm on Saturday December 11. The victim was not physically injured."

"If you recognize the man shown in CCTV, or have any information, please call 101 and quote the reference 5221290851."

Those with information should call 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5221290851, or complete the police's online appeals form.
