CCTV appeal after £5k bike stolen from town centre

An expensive bike was stolen from a shopping centre.

Cheshire Police received a call at around 2.30pm on Friday, March 3, following reports a high-value bike was stolen from Forge Shopping Centre on London Road in Warrington. Police have said the bike was a Nukeproof Mega pedal cycle in Yellow and black, which are available online for between £2,300 and £4,999.

As part of the investigation, police have now issued a CCTV image of a man they believe may have information vital to their enquiries.

PCSO Jordan Burke said: “A number of enquiries have been underway since the report was made to us and as part of these we have released a CCTV image of a man we would like to speak to in connection with the incident. I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have seen something that didn’t look quite right in the area around the time of the incident.

“The same goes to anyone who may know the man in the CCTV or the man himself, to come forward to assist with our investigation.”

Anyone with information should contact Cheshire police on 101 or via the website quoting IML 1492071.

Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
