The Minnesota Vikings had a need at the wide receiver position heading into this offseason. Now with the news of Adam Theilen being released on Friday, they have an even bigger need for a wide receiver this offseason.
Josh Edwards of CBS Sports is sending the Vikings some help in his latest mock draft by having the Vikings select USC wide receiver, Jordan Addison.
Adam Thielen will turn 33 years old this upcoming season so Minnesota would be wise to plan a passing of the torch. Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison could be a sensational duo for quite some time.
Addison would be the perfect counterpart to Justin Jefferson. While he isn’t a deep threat, he’s got the ability to be lethal underneath with his suddenness in his route running. He has nuances in his game that make him a real threat to opposing defenses, and he can also make plays after the catch.
As the Vikings usher in this new era of football, it’d be smart to pair Jefferson with a guy like Addison, who has WR1 potential.
