The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested Mohammad Jamaludin, a Hazaribagh-based journalist, for “helping” two accused of alleged paper leak of this year’s NEET examination, Indian Express reported, citing a source.
The arrest came a day after the Jharkhand’s Oasis School principal Dr Ehsanul Haque and vice-principal Imtiaz Alam were taken into custody in connection with the alleged paper leak. Alam was also appointed as the Hazaribagh district coordinator for NEET-UG by the National Testing Agency.
The report said Jamaludin was arrested after the central agency reportedly “received crucial technical evidence against him”. The CBI is also suspecting that the paper was leaked at Oasis School.
Newslaundry earlier reported that the centre notified the anti-paper leak law and also formed a committee to review the NTA. Read here.
