New Delhi: About 1,100 taxpayers have filed applications under the voluntary disclosure of foreign assets scheme for small taxpayers in over two months since its rollout, according to Finance Ministry sources.
The government launched the Foreign Assets of Small Taxpayers Disclosure Scheme, 2026 (FAST-DS), on August 16, offering a one-time opportunity to disclose the unreported foreign assets and income. The scheme will close on December 31.
