Cavan and Tipperary will lock horns in the Allianz League Division Four football final this weekend having finished at the top of the standings for 2022.
Cavan topped the division with six wins and just one loss in seven outings, while Tipperary were just one point shy of them in second place after winning five and drawing and losing one game.
This final marks the meeting of the two unlikely provincial winners from 2020; that year, both Cavan and Tipperary bridged huge gaps to claim their provincial titles against Donegal and Cork respectively.
However, things went awry for both counties in the meantime to the extent that both found themselves playing Division Four football for 2022.
They are both on their way up to Division Three now, however, and this weekend's game will decide which county will claim the silverware on offer.
