For those still looking to enjoy the holiday cheer, there's still time to do it in Cats on Duty: Prologue. An update was released last week which introduced a new UI along with the addition of quality-of-life updates.
Specifically the new update includes:

- Game locations have been refined.
- Some enemies now wear Santa hats to bring some seasonal joy.
- Battle cat mechanics are now even better.
- The travel map has been made great again.
- Cards no longer stop recharging if players slow the time down.
- UI animations are so delightful now.
- Fixed dashing through the interface with gamepad-controlled cursor issue.

The Steam Prologue features the entire first chapter of Cats on Duty and spread over across 10 levels. Each level offers a unique challenge along with a certain game feature. Players can even look forward to a minigame and a full boss fight.
What makes this one a bit different from the other games in the same genre is that it has a co-op mode where players can play with their friends or family. What happens is that one player focuses on the tile-matching field and try to win the food that's needed to recruit and even upgrade the battle cats. The other one meanwhile is tasked with building an unbreakable line of defense.
Another feature is the "cat" and "kitten" difficulty levels. The thing is, players can actually make adjustments on the game difficulty anytime. This is good news for those who find the current level they are in too easy or too hard. After enjoying everything this title has to offer, the save files can be carried over to the main game.
Cats on Duty offers players an excellent mix of real-time strategy, tower defense, and match-3 mechanics. The game has players help heavily armed battle-hardened cat veterans fight against rodent in skirmishes and escape from yarn tangles. Main features include:
