Emergency services were called to Arnold after receiving reports of garden fire that spread to a house. Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service crews attended an incident on Stanhope Crescent on Monday, May 22.
The fire is reported to have started in a garden around 10.19am and then spread to the house. No injuries were reported, with the occupants having safely left the property, and a cat was rescued at the scene.
A spokesperson for Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue said: "At 10.19 this morning, crews from Stockhill and Arnold Fire Station attended a fire on Stanhope Crescent, Arnold. This fire was believed to have started in the garden and had spread to the house.

“Crews used Breathing Apparatus (BA), Hose Reel Jets (HRJ), Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) to extinguish the fire. An external ladder was also in use to rescue a cat, who has been receiving oxygen therapy on scene from our firefighters.
“No injuries – people were able to leave the house before the fire service arrived.”
