Cat owners must microchip pets or face £500 fine as deadline passes

Millions of cat owners face a fine of up to £500 for failing to get their pets microchipped as a new law comes into force.

From Monday, it is mandatory for every pet feline in England to be chipped before the age of 20 weeks.
