Aimee Wilkinson was devastated when her beloved Smudge went missing seven years ago.
Now eight years old, Smudge who was a kitten when his owners last saw him in 2014, has been reunited with Aimee this week when she spotted a picture of him on social media.
When Smudge didn’t return home after going outside with his brother, Aimee, 29, from Darlington, was determined to find him. She contacted Petlog, who Smudge is microchipped with, and her vets to alert them. She also put up posters, shared her loss on social media and looked for Smudge every day for months – but heard nothing.
