A mysterious accident that happened when a beloved cat's owner left her home alone saw the pet left with wounds and bruising. The two-year-old puss almost lost her leg, but her owners are none the wiser as to what happened to her.
Domestic Short Hair cat Carrot Cake was at home in East Ham, London, one evening when her owner Nathalie Kassoul returned. Carrot Cake was injured and unable to walk on her back leg, so Nathalie took her to the vet.
On examination, the vet said Carrot Cake had serious injuries to her back leg, likely caused by a car accident or a fall. Carrot Cake was stabilised and given pain relief, but X-rays showed that she would need surgery in order to save her leg.
