A DRUG and cash stash was allegedly uncovered by police during a car stop in Lake Macquarie overnight.
Police were proactively patrolling the Alliance Avenue area at Morisset at about 1am on Friday when they pulled over and searched a white Toyota Camry.
Police allege a 30-year-old man who was disqualified from driving was behind the wheel at the time.
Officers allegedly uncovered half-a-litre of liquid methamphetamine, crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, cannabis and a "moderate amount" of cash.
The man and the 27-year-old woman with him in the car at the time were arrested at the scene and taken to Toronto Police Station.
The man was charged with two counts of possessing a prohibited drug and one count of driving disqualified.
The woman was charged with drug supply, recklessly dealing with the proceeds of crime, possessing a prohibited drug, and having custody of a knife in a public place.
They were both refused bail and spent the rest of the morning in the police cells, before fronting Toronto Local Court later on Friday, October 4.
