Casement Park redevelopment at standstill as GAA figures urge politicians to intervene

The GAA remain fully committed to the Casement Park redevelopment project, but they have insisted there isn't a blank cheque for the transformation of the famed West Belfast stadium.

The association are still prepared to honour their €17.4m contribution to a proposed 34,500 seater stadium built on the Andersontown Road.

Back in 2011, that figure was also mooted and agreed upon when the Northern Ireland executive gave a commitment to upgrade Casement in tandem with Windsor Park and Ravenhill.
