Caruso’s Claimed New Record: US skateboarder cuts coast‑to‑coast time to 39 days; Guinness listing lags

Chad Caruso started his 2026 cross-country skateboard journey from Venice Beach, California, on May 1 after recovering from a re-injured knee, and thirty-nine days later, on June 8, he arrived in Jacksonville after covering more than 3,000 miles. The journey was an attempt to improve on the Guinness World Records mark he had set in 2023, when he took 57 days, 6 hours and 56 minutes to travel from Venice Beach to Virginia Beach, Virginia. People reported that Caruso said he had re-torn his meniscus two months before the 2026 trip after previously undergoing surgery and rehabilitation.
