Cartwright catches lucky break as WA grind down Tassie

Hilton Cartwright was fortunate to survive a seemingly regulation caught-behind decision late on day two as Western Australia seized control of their Sheffield Shield clash with Tasmania at Bellerive Oval.

After Sam Fanning (68) laid a stoic early platform, Jayden Goodwin (73no) and Cartwright (48no) helped lift WA to 2-220 at stumps on Saturday, 87 runs short of Tasmania's 307.
