The luxury timepiece was sent for authentication before being listed online, where it attracted dozens of bids from potential buyers. It eventually sold for £9,766.66 in December 2022, becoming the charity’s highest-value online sale at the time. The unexpected discovery turned an ordinary donation into a substantial contribution to the British Heart Foundation’s charitable work.
