From the college football National Championship to the NFL preseason. Fernando Mendoza and Carson Beck will meet yet again, this time at the next stage. Kalshi’s NFL preseason market favors Mendoza’s Las Vegas Raiders over Beck’s Arizona Cardinals.
The Raiders have an 8% advantage on the moneyline with a 54% price to the Cardinals 46%. Trading $10 profits $7.32 for the Raiders and $10.93 on the Cardinals.

Advantage Mendoza
While Carson Beck and the Cardinals have a game under their belt already, this Raiders preseason squad looks promising. Mendoza could make the most with what he’s got, and what he has is a solid receiving core of former Oregon receiver Malik Benson and undrafted free-agent Chase Roberts from BYU. Both 700+ yard receivers in college last season.
Out of the backfield, fourth-round rookie out of Arkansas, Mike Washington Jr., should see meaningful snaps. Also, Roman Hemby, one of Mendoza’s lead backs at Indiana, should see the field as well. Both 1,000+ rushers in 2025 at their respective schools.
This is not to discredit Carson Beck at all, as he and the offense played phenomenally and even made his case to be the Cardinals' Week 1 starter. Beck completed 15/19 passes for 188 yards and one touchdown and led three total scoring drives.
The area that lacked for the Cardinals was on defense, as they allowed 33 points on two passing touchdowns and two rushing scores. They also allowed 378 total yards at 7.4 yards per play.
Given the efficiency of the Cardinals' offense and big play potential for Las Vegas, this has all the makings of a shootout, and the 39.5 Over/Under is an indication of just that. It is tied for the second-highest total in Week 1 of the preseason.
