Cars 'smashed and keyed' in string of attacks on same street

Around nine cars were reportedly smashed up and keyed on the same night in one street.

Car owners living close to Newton-le-Willows train station have reported damage done to their vehicles, including smashed windscreens and scratches- believed to have been "keyed" in. One car owner said they even seen a man stood on top of one of the cars, smashing the windscreen.

Nine cars were reported to be damaged on Monday, September 19 and it was not the first time vehicles had been targeted in the area. Photos seen by the ECHO show several cars with smashed windscreens close to Newton train station.
