A number of cars were seen 'on fire' at a meet and greet car park near Manchester Airport. Witnesses reported seeing flames rising around 12ft into the air after the blaze broke out at the compound in Styal at around noon on Saturday..
Pictures and video from the scene on Moss Lane, around two miles from the airport, shows plumes of grey smoke coming from the car park with firefighters in attendance. One witness said he'd been told three vehicles had caught fire.
A passing motorist said the fire initially appeared 'out of control'. He added: "There were large flames, about 10-12ft in the air.
