Carrie Underwood’s Glass Cabinets Are a Study in Warm Heritage Style – They Master ‘Old Money’ Farmhouse Storage for 2026

Carrie Underwood.

What does a 'forever' home look like for Carrie Underwood? On a 400-acre farm estate in Franklin, Tennessee, the country singer has created a custom-built residence that feels both timeless and deeply personal, embracing an 'old money' farmhouse aesthetic that extends to every detail – including her kitchen cabinetry.

In this modern farmhouse kitchen, glass-front cabinets transform everyday storage into a curated display, resulting in an aesthetic that wouldn't look out of place in a boutique gallery.

Rather than concealing kitchenware behind solid doors, her design celebrates collected ceramics, heirlooms, and everyday essentials, reflecting a wider shift away from pared-back minimalism and starker storage ideas to something more personal. As design experts explain, beautifully styled glass-fronted kitchen cabinets are redefining how we think about storage going forward.

Cabinets aside, you can tap into Carrie's look with statement lighting. This orb chandelier is such a close match, featuring adjustable concentric metal bands that surround a multi-bulb centerpiece, casting the same warm, historic light pattern.

Farmhouse Style

A must-have for every farmhouse kitchen (just ask Carrie), these jars are as practical as they are charming. While they're perfect for serving drinks, they can also be safely used for canning, preserving, or storing homemade syrups and pantry essentials.

Elevated Essential

I love how the simplest storage pieces can double as decor. This versatile glass canister, topped with a timeless wooden lid, is perfect for everything from pasta to coffee (and they're good looking enough to keep on show).

Rustic

There's something about stoneware that instantly makes a kitchen feel warm and lived-in. This canister combines rustic texture with a clean, timeless silhouette, making it perfect for storing everything from tea and coffee to baking essentials.

Reversible

Every farmhouse kitchen deserves a hardworking chopping board, as Carrie reminds us. Crafted for everyday use, it features a juice groove for carving meat and a smooth reverse side for chopping vegetables or preparing other ingredients.

Handcrafted metal

I love how Carrie uses a vintage-style gold tray to display a collection of plates behind one of her glass-front cabinets, and this one fits the same purpose. It brings the same elegance, with its sturdy metal frame and handcrafted lacquered finish.

'Over the past couple of years, we've seen a real shift towards homes that celebrate individuality. Rather than creating spaces that feel overly minimalist or clinical, people are embracing interiors that tell a story, layering color, texture, and meaningful objects that reflect who they are and their way of living,' says Laura Townsend, the design manager at Magnet.

Carrie's kitchen storage is a natural expression of that shift, where the cabinets themselves become part of the decorating scheme rather than simply a place to hide clutter. As Laura explains, the beauty of glass-front cabinetry lies in what it invites you to display.

'Whether it's handcrafted ceramics collected on your travels, artisan glassware or treasured family pieces, displaying these items brings warmth and character into the kitchen, that feels unmistakably you,' she says.

'In many ways, these kitchen cabinets become a living gallery, showcasing the pieces that make a house feel like home.'

She continues: 'From a design perspective, glass cabinetry also introduces a sense of lightness to your kitchen space. Breaking up runs of solid units helps reduce visual weight, creating a kitchen that feels more spacious, layered and inviting. It's a subtle way to add depth and sophistication, particularly in larger kitchen schemes where expanses of cabinetry can otherwise feel heavy.'

As the trend continues to gain momentum, Carrie's kitchen is a reminder that the best storage solutions are as decorative as they are practical.
