Welsh TV presenter Carol Vorderman has been pictured laughing and joking with former health secretary Matt Hancock just months after calling him a “c***”. The former Countdown and I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! star, who now has her own show on Radio Wales, was spotted on a balcony with Mr Hancock in a hospitality suite at the Cheltenham Festival on Tuesday.
Vorderman was seen enjoying the first day of the annual horse-racing event with the former Conservative MP and his partner Gina Coladangelo. Earlier on Tuesday she tweeted: “Cheltenham Races with my long time friends. I’m on tea and water all day.....chauffeur.”

Her apparent closeness with Mr Hancock might turn a few heads because in November last year, when Hancock was appearing in the latest series of I’m a Celeb, she joked about how to pronounce his name by saying the “Han” was silent and that his name was actually “Matt C***”. She also criticised Hancock’s appearance on the hit reality show, tweeting at the time: “I have no words...except GENERAL ELECTION NOW”.
Mr Hancock is still the serving Member of Parliament for West Sussex and is still a member of the Conservative Party but he sits in the House of Commons as an independent MP after he had the Tory whip removed when it was confirmed that he would appear in the jungle-based ITV show. He also stated in December that he will not stand for re-election at the next general election.
