Carol Vorderman came under fire from fans today as she fronted Lorraine.
The former Countdown host was drafted in as a last-minute replacement after Lorraine Kelly tested positive for coronavirus. The Scottish presenter thanked Carol for stepping in at short notice.
She tweeted: "Well the Covid has finally got me and I tested positive at the weekend. Thanks to the vaccine it’s not too bad and I hope to be back at work very soon. Huge thanks to @carolvorders who will be hosting @lorraine until I’m back."

Carol hosted a jam-packed show as Marcus the Mystic Pig predicted who would be the next Conservative leader and Dr Amir Khan shared tips to stay cool during the heatwave. Fans following the show on Twitter accused the stand-in presenter of using a fake laugh.
