Carol Vorderman has hit back at fellow TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson after the former Top Gear host described her as 'awfully shouty' following a spree of political statements. Writing in a tabloid newspaper, Clarkson said Clifton resident Carol has "re-invented herself as a sort of anti-Tory, anti-sleaze warrior" adding that "she does seem to have become awfully shouty".
Vorders had recently criticised the Tory government on a range of issues - from the Michelle Mone scandal to her dislike of former health secretary Matt Hancock.
Hitting back at Jeremy, who runs a farm in the Cotswolds, Carol said on Twitter that he was "having a go at women again", a reference to the farmer's widely criticised comments about Meghan Markle. Something both he and The Sun later apologised over.
